For many LGBTQ+ families, the recent election has brought up new concerns about the safety of our marriages and parental rights. As families seek to better understand the laws and policies that directly impact their lives, MAP is re-posting our blog and infographic explaining the landscape of protections for LGBTQ+ families.

Over the past 50 years, the visibility of LGBTQ+ families has increased, as has the number of children with LGBTQ+ parents who are thriving and are part of communities across the country. In 2024, advocates are working to advance a number of key laws and policies that directly impact the lives of LGBTQ+ parents and their children.
